What Do We Do?

Working in schools is one of Scripture Union's main priorities. We aim to do this by equipping and supporting those who work or study in school. Our dedicated team of staff workers, associated workers (supported by local charitable trusts) and a network of thousands of volunteers work together to inspire the local school community to have a greater understanding of God through the Bible. The start of a new school year is an important time of year for all involved with schools and it can be a good time to consider new initiatives or get extra support. To find a Scripture Union Schools Worker in your area, click "Schools Workers" on the menu to the left and find your local worker on the following page.

Mid-week clubs for Primary School Aged Children

Spen Valley Faith In Schools Trust has been running a club for Key Stage Two children (8-11s) in a local school for about three years. The weekly club runs after school each week in Norristhorpe, West Yorkshire.  The club is run by local volunteers who give up a few hours each week to run the club.  The group use Scripture Union's Supa Club materials. These are available free of charge and include games, crafts, talks, prayer and worship ideas. To look at some SUPA Club outlines, click on the Supa Club link on the menu to the right hand side.
