Brought up in the beautiful Tyne Valley, I became a Christian in my first term away at University. After graduating, I returned to the North East to work, where I met my husband, Paul, who was then working for Youth For Christ and is now a minister. We have two children who are now settled at school, allowing me the time to work for Scripture Union!
I suppose it was through Paul’s work that I first grasped the enormous potential and importance of outreach to children, young people and families. But how do you contribute to this when working face to face with children or young people is not really your thing? Answer: by getting involved in other aspects of the work! My role with Scripture Union is to do just that, by providing organisational and administrative input to the Regional Team in order to support Scripture Union’s ministry across the Region.
