We are committed to regularly meeting with other Christians throughout the region, especially to seek to meet training needs, to pray for various aspects of ministry to children, young people and families and to seek and share God's vision for SU's ministry nationally and across the region. Regenerate Training Events
We run a regular programme of 
training events at a number of locations throughout the region - both evening events and daytime events. Click on the boxes at the bottom of this page to read more about the main types of events and check out the Regional Training: Regenerate page for an overview of the aims of Regenerate.
The statistics on the number of young people leaving the church are saddening. This autumn we ran a training tour looking at how to nurture a lasting, mature faith in young people, based on the research from the Fuller Institute. This was so popular we arranged further dates for this year, including a lunchtime event aimed particularly at church leaders (though others are welcome to attend!). The Bible is a story of deep transformation, but increasingly it is left unopened or reduced to moral advice. We believe that there is a huge need to release this story in new ways that help communities to come alive as they find themselves in it.
Transforming lives is a training event offering practical ideas and support for children's and youth leaders, parents and churches as we seek to unleash the Bible for life. It examines how to plan programmes and build relationships that make a difference; yielding a future where lasting transformation takes place and power to live boldly for God is released. Prayer and Vision Events
Several times each year we try to prioritise giving time when we stop and give thanks for all the good things God is doing, seek inspiration for the future and pray for events and initiatives taking place in the coming months. Details of these events will be posted here. You can also click the box below or contact barbarar@scriptureunion.org.uk to request to be kept up to date with details about them.
We also 'meet' via Skype or other media on a weekly basis to pray about our work regionally, nationally and internationally. If you would like to join us to pray, get in touch. In particular, we currently set aside an hour at the start of the day on the third Tuesday of each month as a time when we can pray with and/or for the whole Scripture Union team - made up of associates, affiliates, students, interns and other volunteers as well as the employed staff.
