While Scripture Union runs many national holidays, there are also some holidays which are specifically aimed at people in a particular region in the country. Here in the North East and Yorkshire region we run a number of regional holidays. Most of these are run in partnership with the North West region.
Every year, we enjoy a great programme of holidays! Most of these take part in the summer although not all. We take part in lots of fun activities, make new friends and explore the Bible, seeking to understand more about who God is and why he is relevant to each of us. We have Regional holidays for everyone aged 9 to 23. You can click on the link below for some individual perspectives about what took place in 2012 and consider whether you might like to be involved in 2013!
In 2013, we have an even bigger and better line-up of holidays than in previous years! Below are some brief details - click the links for more information and to sign up as a volunteer. If you are a young person wishing to go on a holiday yourself or a parent wishing to send your children, then check out the North East and Yorkshire holidays page.

The MIX
The MIX will not be taking place in 2013, as we seek to review the best way to engage families intergenerationally. However, if your church would like to explore this approach for its church weekend away, then please get in touch!
Our holiday in 2012 was the second time that we have run The MIX. A full report of the 2011 inaugural holiday can be found by clicking below.
Breakthrough
Breakthrough is an annual New Year holiday for older teenagers (year 10 and above). Each year has a different theme and in 2012 it was entitled 'Mission Impossible?'.
We live in a broken world, where things are not as they are supposed to be. But what can we do about it? Is this the ultimate ‘Mission Impossible'? Click on the link below or on the menu on the left to find out more.
At 2011’s Breakthrough we considered how we should live God's story in today’s world. There were opportunities to meet up with old friends and make new ones in our on-site coffee bar; games and activities in the local area; music, drama, consoles, crafts and of course a fantastic New Year’s Eve party. With celebrations, discussions, seminars and small groups, it was a holiday to remember.
