Associate Evangelist working with Kerygma Community Outreach Trust
I trained at Cliff College then worked for Scripture Union from 1978 till 2011. Previously I had worked in the family funeral business in my native town of St Ives in Cornwall, whilst also being involved in children's and youth work plus lay preaching. I have a passion for seeing all ages come alive to God's amazing love through Jesus, and witnessing Christians being renewed in their faith. I live in Stafford with my wife Margaret, and we have two grown-up children, Becky and David (married to Ruth), who live near us and like us are involved at Rising Brook Baptist Church.
In 2004 I felt God call me to pioneer a new frontline work in outreach, and so began the 'Kerygma' bus ministry project. Since Easter 2006, together with a team of volunteers, I use a double-decker bus to deliver RE lessons sharing the good news with thousands of schoolchildren, as well as working with detached youth in towns and villages. Other strands to my ministry include working with churches to help with all-age missions holiday and midweek clubs, holidays for young people, men's outreach and family events, preaching, school visits, church weekends and courses, training and longer-term development work.
