Ukraine

We need individuals or teams who love God and are willing to share their faith and make a difference to children and young people. You will be working alongside Ukrainian leaders with groups of Ukrainian children at the SU residential centre at Vorzel near Kiev.

One of the main strategies of SU Ukraine in making the news of Jesus known is through summer camps and most of the children attending have little or no knowledge of the Christian faith. Activities that you might be involved with include Bible studies, crafts, parachute games, small group work and singing. The whole camp enjoy themselves together through team games, walks and outings to the zoo. The evening celebrations are also a great opportunity to have fun with
the children; you might like to make a fool of yourself for their amusement by performing a drama, song or dance. But don’t worry if this isn’t your kind of thing as there are lots of other ways to get involved, including sharing your personal story with them.

UK volunteers will co-lead a small group of children or young people with a Ukrainian team member. Whatever talents and gifts you have you will be welcomed as a valuable team member.

Youth leaders

Do you have some members of your youth group (16+) that you feel would really benefit from an overseas missions experience? You could all join this team together and oversee them whilst encouraging them to develop their practical and leadership skills and also their faith.
