Holiday Bible Clubs are relatively new to Romania and are proving to be an excellent way of working with the churches. Many parents cannot afford to send their children to a camp, but a Holiday Bible Club enables churches to reach and teach these children. They come along to the club, which usually lasts for a week, but eat and sleep at home.
The aim of the clubs is to present the gospel to children and teenagers, some of whom have never heard it before, and encourage daily Bible reading. Each action-packed day helps the children and teenagers get to know each other and have lots of fun within a Christian environment.
How can you help?
In 2008 we are hoping to run several Holiday Clubs in different parts of Romania, and as a volunteer, you would form part of a team working alongside Romanian Christians. UK team members usually have a wealth of skills to share, but we are delighted that so many report that they gain so much themselves in terms of personal experience and Christian perspective.
