Summer clubs in Hungary are an exciting way of serving God somewhere different. We need volunteers for one, two or three weeks to help teach the Bible and lead games, singing, English language practice, craft and sports. You don’t have to speak Hungarian because you will work closely with a team of Hungarians. Clubs with English-speaking leaders often attract children who have never been to church before.
Weekends are spent in Budapest, with opportunities for sightseeing, while the clubs are based in churches or schools in either the suburbs or in towns and villages around Hungary. One of the past volunteers said:
"It was a fantastic opportunity to explore another country while serving God! I felt emerged into the Hungarian culture and language because I was living with them for 3 weeks. Certainly the best way to see the country and understand it. Although I can’t say I enjoyed all the food! (But actually, a lot of it was really nice!) I felt welcomed into the country, and all the Hungarians I met were so friendly and helpful. It was a fantastic way to learn a language and to teach English, when they are all so eager to learn. An absolutely marvellous experience! Oh, and I made so many friends - great way to meet people from all over the country, and from Hungary too!
