Your choices

To begin with, you can choose whether your placement will be three months plus or six months plus. Both options begin in January.

What about location? Do you want to be based at home? Or based away from home, with accommodation and food provided?

Both shorter and longer placements include a week on the team of a major children’s event. For the short-term placement this is likely to be on the children’s programme at Spring Harvest. Those on longer placements can spend a week on a holiday or mission team in England or Wales; or (with an extra supplement for flights) join a Frontline team working on a camp or holiday club in Europe.

Costs range from as little as £500 for a three-month placement while living at home to about £2,000 for a six-month placement living away with a one- or two-week overseas placement.

The Action Now scheme is a unique opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in schools and churches while working alongside an experienced Scripture Union practitioner in a range of contexts.
