Lifepath Brinkburn 2019

  • Date: 24–29 June 2019
  • Event Age Range: Year 3 and 4

Lifepath Brinkburn allows children in Years 3 and 4 to explore the Christian faith in a fun and interactive way. It all takes place at the beautiful Brinkburn Priory set in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside.  The children are introduced to the Lifepath of local North East Saints such as Aidan, Cuthbert and Oswald together with the way of life of the monks who once inhabited the Priory.  The children learn about how these remarkable men lived and how their lives and faith impacted this county and the country as a whole.  The event is used as a springboard to encourage all those that attend to reflect on their own “life path”.

There are opportunities for volunteers to act as Pilgrim Guides, leading a group of about 15 children through the activities and building a positive relationship with them and their teachers throughout the day. Other volunteers are needed to run various high quality workshops which may include arts and crafts, gardening, quest (solving challenges), music, prayer and others. There is also a need for volunteers for “behind-the-scenes” roles such as stewarding, audio visual support, first aid and catering.

Since Lifepath takes place within the school day it’s a great opportunity for volunteers of all ages to get involved.  Although the event takes place over several days it is not always vital that every team member is present on each day.  Even if you can only volunteer for one day you are still very welcome to join our team of amazing volunteers.

Please note bookings for this event will be open in January 2019
