Parent and Toddler groups are a major way for churches to serve their communities. Parents, and grandparents and childminders, bring their young children to learn to socialise, develop creative skills and play with a wider range of toys whilst they relax and chat, building relationships with other parents. In many churches, the toddler group includes crafts and Bible stories and songs. And there will be opportunities to build relationships with the parents with pamper sessions, health visitor talks and Alpha-type courses.
In this section you can find out about resources to help you make the most of these opportunities.
Building Blocks is a training resource written by representatives from various organisations to help churches see how to make the most of their toddler groups.
If you lead a parent and toddler group and want to begin helping your young friends to worship God or just need ideas, then here are some ideas for services at festivals for you.
