What kind of camp are you sending your kids on?

Whilst each of our camps is unique in its own way, we maintain several core values they all share – regardless of location, activity or age group. It's what makes them Scripture Union Holidays.

Holidays are all about fun! And fun means different things to different people. That’s why we offer a wide range of different options. Many of our holidays are multi-activity events, with a big mix of different games, sports, crafts and outings. Others focus on a particular activity, such as sailing, karting or the performing arts. Guests are welcome to do activities that they already love, or to challenge themselves with something new. And of course, a big feature of all our holidays is the opportunity to make friendships that can last a lifetime.

Faith exploration

On Scripture Union holidays, we invite children and young people to explore the difference Jesus can make to the challenges and uncertainties of life. The way that this is done will vary depending on the age group and facilities available, but it will always be engaging and relevant to the children and young people on the holiday.

Safety is of paramount importance to us, and is at the forefront of all our event planning. All our leaders are appropriately vetted (including a DBS check) and trained for the roles they are carrying out. On our holidays, there is a ratio of at least one adult to every eight children/young people. All activities are subject to sensible risk assessments to minimise the chances of an accident, and any specialised activities are AALS licensed and carry the correct level of insurance.

We do not run our holidays to make a profit. In actual fact, we try to keep our prices as low as possible, while our many volunteers also contribute to the cost of our holidays, which helps us provide excellent value for money. We don’t want any child to miss out because of cost, so we also have a simple-to-access Holiday Fund for those families who need help.
