These are holidays designed with you in mind! Every Scripture Union holiday gives you the opportunity to have a holiday that will excite as well as inspire you with loads of other stuff thrown into the mix... The main reason for our holidays is that they give you a chance to understand who God really is and why he is relevant for you; it is guaranteed that the Christian message is presented in a thought-provoking and relevant way – our holidays simply wouldn’t be as awesome without him at the centre.
Scripture Union holidays are packed with activity but there is also plenty of opportunity for you to just chill out with your mates. You can choose to go on a multi-activity holiday or opt to spend most of the holiday doing your favourite thing like acting, sailing, go-karting, biking or computer gaming.
Parents
SU runs over 100 residential holidays a year, some of them under canvas, the majority in residential centres.
STANDARDS: We aim high on our holidays. Safety is of paramount importance. All holidays minimal. Any specialised activities are AALS licensed and carry the correct level of insurance.
LEADERS: We carefully hand-pick them, with a ratio of at least one adult to every four young people on every holiday. SU has a Child Protection Policy and all leaders are subject to this including compulsory Enhanced Disclosures; issued by Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).
VARIETY: We pack in as much as we can.
SPECIAL NEEDS: Young people with disabilities or special needs are always welcome.
