The following outlines have all appeared in previous months. They are arranged here in reverse order of the date they first appeared.

2008

  • Father's Day: A set of outlines linked to Father's Day.

2007

  • Advent 2007: getting ready for Jesus’ second coming as we remember his first coming at Bethlehem
  • HIV/AIDS: a massive issue across the world and one that we as Christians need to be involved with
  • Giving: Outlines for a meeting on the theme of giving time and money.  They aim to help your group think about the why and how of generous living.
  • Respect - Who should we respect, how should we show respect.  What about respecting our parents?
  • Truth and Lies - deception and cheating - all issues we struggle with especially in the 'grey' areas
  • Re-igniting your group - Help your group at the start of a new school year to explore "Why are we meeting?"
  • A two part outline on the topic of Relationships.
  • The resurrection from the perspective of Thomas - do you need to see Jesus to believe in him?
  • The events of Easter through the eyes of Barabbas.
  • Jesus and Other Faiths - What can we learn from Jesus about how we relate to those of other faiths and cultures?
  • Hannah and Deborah - two Bible voices to inspire your group on Prayer and Christian leadership

2006

  • Mary - help your group prepare for Christmas through the eyes of Mary
  • War - to fight or not to fight, and are there ever any winners - some of the issues raised by war, which might fit into the Remembrance theme.
  • Harvest - looking at the life of Ruth, how God worked in her life, and how we have so much to thank God for
  • Josiah - an Old Testament king who made a huge impact for God; something we all want for our groups at the beginning of a new school year
  • a single outline called Summer Fun for all age groups
  • a single outline about Winning and Losing in the context of the football World Cup
  • a revised outline on The Da Vinci Code (for 14+ age group) – raising issues about fact and fiction in the thriller movie released in May 2006.
  • Prejudice – help your group tackle the issues of prejudice, racism and discrimination
  • Easter – issues of crime and punishment help to explore the death of Jesus
  • Alcohol – equipping young people so they can handle alcohol effectively
  • a special outline on the World Vision 24 Hour Famine, which was from 17-19 March 2006
  • Euthanasia – an issue that is once again being debated in parliament this month and will attract media attention
