The film everyone’s talking about is definitely Mel Gibsons THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST. People will be going in their thousands and for many it will raise questions. Are you ready with answers? Scripture Union is! For Christians in a group of friends, or churches wanting to use the film in group discussions, Scripture Union has put online free downloadable resource material for small groups.

The material gives a menu of background notes, a synopsis of the screenplay, discussion starters and Bible study questions ideal for anyone putting together a pre- or post-film discussion event or a Bible study evening to explore the themes of the film.

John Grayston, Scripture Union’s Director of Bible Ministries says, ‘We want to encourage the many thousands of small fellowship groups throughout the country to welcome friends, neighbours and colleagues into their homes and use the film to introduce them to the biblical Jesus the Jesus who loves them enough to die for them.’
