Following the sad news of the passing of Rev. Rob Frost in November 2007 Scripture Union is releasing a revised tribute edition of Sharing Jesus In The New Millennium to commemorate the work of such a celebrated evangelist.
Re-titled Sharing Jesus– the Church’s most urgent task, the book has been worked on by the publishing staff at Scripture Union in record time.
‘Rob was always so supportive of Scripture Union’s emphasis on prayer and Bible reading,’ commented director Keith Civval, ‘He was passionate about sharing the gospel with ordinary people and so we felt it was fitting to rush through a special edition of the book we worked on with him in 2000. With the support and input of Rob’s son Andy we have completely revised and updated the material. The new Sharing Jesus also has a foreword specially written by Andy.’
Sharing Jesus is an inspirational yet intensely practical book about how local church congregations can plan and pursue mission on their doorsteps.
Commending the book, Alpha founder Nicky Gumbel said, ‘Rob Frost was a remarkable man. He had a passion for telling people about Jesus which was infectious and gave rise to a whole new dynamism in the Methodist Church where he was such a key figure.’
The life of Rob - founder of Easter People and Share Jesus International, energetic radio and TV presenter and enthusiast for using the arts in communicating the Christian gospel – was celebrated in January at the Westminster Methodist Central Hall by over 2,000 people.
