Transmission: it’s not just the mechanism by which power is transmitted from an engine to an axle. It’s the rush from popping a wheelie, the thrill of firing a rocket, the joy of a slick broadcast, the buzz from being in front of the camera, the satisfaction of a working circuit board… Join us for a week and tackle any two activities: trial bikes, karting, tech toys, video, media technology and radio. Step up a gear!

Pick two of the following activities which you’ll be able to do each day. Please let us know your choices on the online booking form:

Trial Bikes: is all about control- of the bike and your nerves! In a disused quarry our experienced instructors will teach you the skills to ride a complex off road track with a few obstacles thrown in (see-saw anyone?). As we use adult 125cc bikes the minimum height for this activity is 148cm/4’10”.

Karting: Forget the Olympics, the only real way of getting around a track is in a kart! Experience the thrill of the chase as you race against each other and improve your driving skills to shave seconds off your personal best.

Tech Toys: Mess around in style with gadgets galore including radio-controlled cars, planes, boats & rockets. Drive the skidpan, loop the loop & make a splash before launching your homemade rocket skyward.

Media - Video: In small teams you’ll storyboard and rehearse your cinematic masterpiece before filming it, testing your acting skills and take it the editing suite to produce your own short movie: Oscar nominations to follow!

Media - Tech’: Linked to the radio and video activities, you’ll slice together opening titles and backing tracks, create stop motion video, make electronics kits plus much more.  Throw in some team gaming as well – Media Tech’ is a bit of everything.

Media - Radio: Fancy a slot as a DJ? Plan, record and broadcast radio shows across camp.  Whether you want to host a radio quiz or mix some hot tunes, this is your chance.

This holiday is based at Letton Hall (IP25 7SA) which is an activity and conference centre located in the countryside north of Thetford. Our holidays are based here because it has its own karting track as well as lots of space for us to do lots of other activities but the accommodation is ‘no frills’.
