Have you been looking for a fun and welcoming holiday especially geared to your needs? Well, you may have discovered the answer. All In! seeks to be a holiday where you can take part in a variety of different activities including crafts, team games, swimming and the challenging but achievable low ropes course. These wonderful few days finish with an evening of fun around a blazing log fire and a barbeque where everyone has the chance to dress up in themed fancy dress. These activities take place at the safe and secure site of Great Wood.
All In! intends to deliver the materials and the teaching at an appropriate and understandable level. A multi-sensory approach will be used and a combination of learning and communication styles used. There will be morning and evening worship and teaching meetings which we hope will enable the children to relate in a way which works best for them.
A high ratio of leaders to young people will help everybody to feel secure and build relationships. Although there are boundaries you will be encouraged to make decisions for yourself and get to know others on the holiday. The core leadership team all have professional expertise of nursing and teaching.
All in! gives you a chance to have a brilliant holiday, make new friends and be accepted for who you are.
All the activities are geared at being suitable for children with learning difficulties with a large team to provide constant support. There are guidelines on expected behaviour and ability so an additional application form will be sent to you so that we can properly meet the children’s individual needs.
The site is suitable for wheelchairs but please contact the holiday leader BEFORE booking to discuss specific programme issues.
