Dress Rehearsal

Dress Rehearsal is an eight-session midweek club programme for children aged 5-11 which can be used either on its own or as a follow-up to the Showstoppers holiday club. It is especially suitable to use with children who are not yet part of a church community. Explore how to live God's way by retelling eight fantastic Bible stories using a different creative art each day – music, drama, painting, clay, collage and more.  Dress Rehearsal is supported by a DVD containing five storytelling episodes. The sessions in this programme are:

  • Noah (Genesis 6; 8:20–22; 9:8–13,17)
  • The Ten Commandments (Exodus 19:3–8, 16–20; 20:1–17)
  • Jeremiah and the potter (Jeremiah 18:1–13; 18; 31:31–34)
  • Feeding over 5,000 (John 6:1–13)
  • The good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37)
  • The prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32)
  • Jesus' trial (Matthew 27:15–32; 28:1–10)
  • The end of time (Revelation 21:1–6; 22:1–5)
