Supa Clubs

Materials for Supa Clubs are now available online as part of SchoolsLive, free of charge. This highly versatile resource is for leaders of lunchtime or after-school Christian groups in primary schools, but can be easily adapted for church midweek clubs.

Each session stands on its own with a catch-up from the week before. It is written assuming that the children have little or no Bible knowledge. It is very easy to use, with leaders’ notes, session outlines and resources such as craft sheets and a games list available to download from the site. There are three series of outlines each year, each following a theme, story or character from the Bible, which together with special outlines for festivals and special occasions mean that an outline is provided for almost every week of the school year. The leaders’ notes contain suggestions for ways to tell the Bible story, games, crafts, songs, memory verses and prayer activities, and group leaders can select the elements that are appropriate for their group and the time available.

In addition the website features an email helpline for you to ask for advice from our experienced team of primary schools workers or share stories from your group, and you can subscribe to a regular email newsletter which includes the best of these stories.

Visit the Supa Clubs site and begin planning your club.

It's Your Move is an exciting book from Scripture Union, designed to help pupils with the change from primary to secondary school. It's also a great way for churches and schools to work in partnership. Last year well over 70,000 young people were given a copy. Why not get involved this year? It's Your Move! is colourful and exciting, comes at a bargain price, and has been well received by pupils and teachers alike.

Life Actually. A book for students approaching the end of compulsory school life and looking at what comes next - college, training, finding a job?  Credible advice about the challengs and changes young people face at this age. The book covers GCSEs, moving on, coping with parents, the pressures of sex and drugs, friends, and money.  Features real-life stories, from real-life people. A helpful guide for any young person and a possible tool to help churches build bridges with local secondary schools.  A church (or group of churches) could purchase enough copies to give to all of Year 11 in their local secondary school as a Christmas present.
