Port St Mary

The Port St Mary Beach Mission runs activities for 0-18 year olds for a fortnight every summer. Activities take place in seven different age groups based at various indoor and outdoor locations on and close to Chapel beach. Children are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as they wish, with the youngest groups meeting once a day and the older groups meeting two or three times a day. Activities include games, crafts, drama and music, with everything centred around Bible-based themes and an opportunity for children and young people to explore the Christian Faith. In recent years, an average of over 200 children and young people have attended each day's activities – the majority live in the south of the island, but some travel from other parts of the island, and a few are holiday makers.

The Beach Mission works in partnership with local Churches, and with the Scripture Union Ministries Trust. The team are fully-vetted volunteers who pay their own expenses, with the majority staying for the fortnight in "Mallmore" – the team house on the Promenade.
