Sutton on Sea is a small seaside town on the East Coast of England, 13 miles north of Skegness. The beach mission has been running each summer since 1886 and offers 2 weeks of fun, mess and God to local people and holiday-makers. We run afternoon holiday clubs for young people aged 3 to 20 in different age groups and adults as well as having fun on the beautiful sandy beach. We meet approximately 120 people a day, with about 250 young people attending over the course of the fortnight.

Summer Missions

Over the past few years, we have seen God working in amazing ways at the mission. Many children and young people have had spiritual encounters with God for the first time and we have spent more time than ever praying and answering questions as well as playing games and doing craft activities. We have seen a lot of children coming to the mission as they grow up and then joining the team and giving something back.

One team member said this year, after his first experience of Sutton on Sea;  “I have thoroughly loved and enjoyed the 2 weeks and have got so much from it.  Even though I don’t really like getting up in the morning, I have loved getting up at 7 or just after because of the excitement I’ve had about serving God and carrying out his mission. I have learnt so much more about God and been able to grow in my faith daily and really hope I can build on this as I go home.  I am really going to miss beach mission as it has been one of the best experiences ever, to serve God in this way and really see him work through us.”
