FACCTS - Fleet and Crookham Churches Together in Schools - is a community youth project established by the churches in Fleet and Crookham to serve the schools in our community.
Our aim is to provide appropriate and complementary resources to schools for the spiritual and moral education of students and give them the opportunity to hear about the Christian faith in a relevant way. We also aim to encourage and support teaching staff.
Established in 2002, FACCTS currently has a part-time administrator and two paid workers (one full-time, one part-time) who work mainly in our two secondary schools, taking assemblies, PSHE/PACE and RE lessons, assisting with pastoral care, helping with Christian Unions and extended school activities, and supporting school staff.
Our aim to run Christian clubs in all five of our junior schools, staffed by unpaid volunteers; at present (June 2010), we have clubs in three schools. FACCTS directors are drawn from local churches, who provide funding for the projects, which is also supported by dedicated individuals who are passionate about our work.
Our mission statement: In response to Christ’s call upon our lives, we seek to serve the students and staff in our local schools and to be a Christian witness and resource in our community.
