Ben is the Schools Christian Worker for Oswestry District. He is also a Husband to Emma and a Dad to Bobby (and another half-cooked one). He comes from a sucessful background in broadcasting and is a keen sportsman - including triathlon, trail running and surfing.
Ben is involved in a large number of schools; 8 places of secondary education and about a dozen primary schools. With an area that covers many square miles he is kept pretty busy!
Ben takes many assemblies each week and runs Christian Union groups in 3 secondary schools, as well as a reflection group in one local primary that looks in more depth at some of the topics that get covered in the assemblies.
Ben also has a pastoral role in a local sixth form college, helping with a group of 'Peer Mentors' alongside the college's other pastoral staff.
The Schools Work Project project is also currently involved in promoting various charity projects in the schools, and is setting up a regular youth event to encourage the local Christian youth.
Also coming up is the first of a series of 'Man-Up' weekends, where Ben and a group of other male leaders will take small groups of Christian lads away to look at the whole idea of becoming men - challenging them to embrace the idea of Biblical manhood and Godly responsibility.
