Andrew Phillips

I grew up in the Lake District and moved to Stockport in 1999. I am married with 2 children. I have worked for CIST for 9 years. I work in Primary Schools, taking assemblies, lunch time clubs and teaching RE lessons. Four times a year I go into schools with special projects of anti-bullying, Christmas and Easter interactive high energy presentations which aims to make young people aware of the reason we celebrate these festivals and transition projects in June and July of young people going from year 6 to year 7.

I also organise CIST’s Stars of Respect Initiative which is an Awards Night for young people that aims to honour children and young people who have shown respect in their schools and communities.

Jonathan Wilson

Jonathan was born and raised in Northern Ireland before coming to England aged 18 to study for the year at Capernwray Hall Bible School. From there he spent a year and a half volunteering at a church in Stockport as a childrens and youth worker before joining Christians in Schools Trust in January 2007.

My role within the trust - My role within the trust is to serve the secondary schools in Stockport. I'm currently in four high schools weekly with activities ranging from regular assemblies and lessons to supporting pupils one-on-one, running lunchtime clubs and facilitating staff and pupil prayer meetings. My heart, as is the trust's, is to build relationships with these schools and their staff and pupils. After 5 years with CIST I still consider it a privilege to go into schools and show them God's love through my own life.

Linda Lanigan

My name is, Linda Lanigan, and I am employed by CIST. I have been with CIST for 18 months, so am still fairly new to schools work but thoroughly enjoying it. I work 20 hours a week in schools across the Heatons area in Stockport. I visit nine primary schools and deliver a combination of assemblies, RE lessons and an Ignite lunch club. I also help weekly, at a secondary school club.

Sue Mayo

I grew up in Liverpool and moved to Manchester to train to teach. I am married to Ed and 2 grown up children. I have worked for CIST for 11 years. I manage the team and am the main link between the trust and local churches. As well as that I am the chaplain to 3 secondary schools in Stockport and also am ordained.
