X:site Cheltenham is an event run in partnership with local churches and supported by Scripture Union.

X:site Cheltenham is a fast-moving evening that manages to pack games, videos, dramas and music into two hours. Volunteers are needed to work with small groups of children to help them explore the Bible and engage with each other and the programme. But to make each event happen volunteers are also needed to organise registration, lighting and sound, administration, publicity and the upfront programme.

The core aims of X:site Cheltenham are:

  • To challenge the children who are already connected with church to live out their faith at home, at school and with their friends.
  • To provide an opportunity for these children to invite their friends to an event to learn about what it means to have a relationship with Jesus
  • To teach God's Word faithfully in a manner that is relevant to children's culture
  • To encourage and support those children who attend church regularly by giving them a different opportunity in which they can learn from, respond to and experience God in a different context
