Cromer 2017

  • Date: 19–27 August 2017
  • Event Age Range: 3 to adult
  • Accommodation: Local homes
  • Volunteer Cost: £TBC

The Cromer mission is organised in partnership with local churches and Scripture Union. We aim to give local children, young people and their families opportunities to learn about God and to respond to him through fun, creative and age-appropriate activities.

Summer Missions

Each morning, Monday to Friday, will be a holiday club in the Parish Hall for 3 to 11 year olds as well as a group for young people.

In the afternoons (including Saturday 26) we will go to different locations in Cromer for family fun events such as games, fete, sand sculptures or tide fight.

The evenings will be a mixture of family, adult and youth events.

How can you get involved?

We need you! If we grow the number on team we will be able to help more children and young people discover God’s love for themselves.

We are particularly keen to see more local church members involved with this mission to local children and young people. We’d love you to volunteer so we will try to be as flexible as possible, for example it would be all right to only volunteer for the morning sessions or in the afternoons.

There are a variety of ways in which you could serve:

  • Work with a small group of children during the morning holiday club focussed on how long, wide, high and deep Christ’s love is for all of us
  • Play games and chat with children, young people and their parents in the afternoons
  • Chat with young people during evening events
  • Help with registration or refreshments
  • Be part of our junior team, if you are aged 14 to 17

Lunch will be provided Monday to Friday for all team. If you don’t live in Cromer then we will organise for you to stay with a local church family and will also provide breakfast and dinner.

There will be team training on Saturday 19 August.
